Quotes from this episode

  • "Are you creating a nest to hibernate this winter"
  • "Socialist Cosiness"
  • "Encouraged to se the outside as incredibly dangerous"
  • "I'm using it as a metonym"
The Lexis of the lady's talking are elegant, delicate and sophisticated, however, what they are talking about they are delivering with chest and confidence.  The level of sternest is juxtaposing to what they are talking about, talking bout fashion trends but in a way that would be better suited in the house of lords.

This episode would definitely offend elderly conservative men (mainly) and women

Half the show is about female B.O. it is about societal hegemonic norms that women feel they have to follow

There is a specific reference to oral sex on a woman and waiting the vagina to smell nice for the man
One of the hosts has been criticised for swearing

Clay Shirky - Theory End of Audience Theory
The Theory that audience does no exist anymore, that we can not only consume, we can produce, research and give immediate review.

The BBC being publicly funded reflates national interests and it means they can be independent with their ideologies and what they can show.

The BBC remit is to 'inform, to educate and entertain'
