Gender is constructed through the codes and conventions of media products, and the idea of what is male and female changes over time.  Women's bodies are used in media products as a spectacle for heterosexual male audiences, which reinforces particular hegemony.

Alfred Hitchcock Interview

In several occasions Hitchcock objectifies women as 'snow capped volcanos' as to show that women are pretty on the outside and explosive on the inside.  Hitchcock comes across as manipulative as he says that although grace Kelly came across with a 'don't touch me attitude' and that he saw right through that and saw her as the sexually promiscuous person he thought she is

Alfred Hitchcock is basically saying that if you have not been so full on they have caved, then you are missing out

He is basically saying that men are the more dominant and that women are used as a trophy of a mans wealth, this renforces partial hegemony

Alfred Hitchcock is fetishising over women as he always uses a specific types women in his films.  This picture also has one of the creepiest quotes above it

Sexual Allegations against Alfred Hitchcock

  1. Tibbie Hendon - Alfred forced himself upon her and also had a door built in that would open into her dressing room from his office.  If they did not participate, he would ruin their career.  Alfred Hitchcock's films mostly always feature sexually frustrated and aggressive men dominating and being violent against women, so the fact he was stalking his victims and partaking in these crimes makes him a sexual hegemonic predator.
The fact he was interviewed was because of his status and the fact he could make you famous, for a cost
